The Midland® BT City can not only be connected, in Bluetooth® mode, with a mobile phone, GPS sat nav or MP3 stereo music player, but can even be used, via a connecting socket, with iPod/MP3 players or PMR446 2-way radios for bike-to-bike communication. The Midland® BT City also works as a wireless rider/pillion intercom system, with a range of up to 200 metres. In combination with an MP3-enabled mobile phone, it is also possible to control Forward/Reverse and Play/Stop functions. Furthermore, the grippy buttons make it easy for the motorcycle rider to use these functions on the road. The Midland® BT City system is waterproof. It has a compact design, and can be mounted in two ways: by means of a clamp or a double-sided adhesive foil. The BT City2 system therefore fits on almost any helmet system, whether jet, modular, or full-face.

Intercom connection (2 Midland® Citys are needed for this):

• Bike-to-bike intercom over a maximum distance of up to 200 metres
• Rider-to-pillion intercom

Mobile phone connection:

• Voice-activated call answer and reject (Vox technology)
• Voice-activated call function and dialling (mobile phone must support voice control)

GPS sat nav connection:

• Connection to Bluetooth®-enabled sat navs for transmission of navigation instructions (e.g. Garmin® zumo 500, 550, 660 or TomTom® Rider 1 and 2)

• Cable connection (via 2.5 mm jack plug) for stereo music players (MP3) or to conventional PMR 446 2-way radios for bike-to-bike radio communication (connecting cable and wireless PTT button are available as separate accessories)
• VOX function for hands-free talking on the intercom or telephone
• Automatic volume control depending on background noise and speed
