Habe mir den Helm schon voriges jahr vorab in den Staaten gekauft! Dort aber leider mit doppel d Riemen! Jetzt bei fc moto nochmals mit orangen sonnenvisier bestellt ! Ich finde es ist der beste jethelm zu einem vernünftigen Preis!
Ps: habe normal gr m aber hier gr L - oranges Visier unbedingt mitbestellen - Phänomenal !

This is my second helmet with the flip down inner sun visor. It's a gamechanger! I love having the ability to instantly flip it up or down as needed without having to fumble with putting sun glasses on and off.

My first one with the inner sun shield was the AFX Fx-46, which is a good helmet but it lacks the longevity of an HJC helmet(hopefully!). For example the flip down inner sun shield on the Fx-46 lost it's stiffness after only 2 years and would flip down on it's own after hitting a bump - no good. Also they didn't offer an amber inner sun shield. But kudos to AFX for offering the helmet with a quick release buckle which works excellent.

So I kept looking for what I wanted and finally found the HJC i30. The only downside that I could see is they did not offer the quick release buckle(or so I thought), only the old school strap. But, this had the inner sun shield and even offered an amber option! so excited!

When I made the purchase I thought that I was going to have to live with the old school strap, but considering that this was the only helmet that I could find with the inner amber sun shield option I was willing to live with it.

So the helmet finally arrives(and the shipping wasn't as bad as I thought. It did get held up in customs in Europe for a week or two but after that it came in about 1 day!) When the helmet arrives it has the quick release buckle as well! I'm thrilled.

The sizing is runs one size big. I usually wear a medium(with Arai helmets) and with the HJC i30 I wear a small. These will loosen up quite a bit, so I recommend to err on the side of buying it small. It will be uncomfortable for a week, but then fit perfectly.

My only complaint is that the inner amber sun visor could be a bit darker. It's a little too light, but considering it's the only amber game in town currently, I'll take it! Also FC-moto is calling the optional inner sun shield yellow. I'm not sure if they do this because it's a little lighter than it should be? Or if they just made a mistake, but it's clearly amber (blue blocking) and is clearly labeled as amber by HJC.

I previously rated this helmet saying that it runs small. I was incorrect. A small usually fits me, at least, after a break in period. However, the small continued to be too tight in the cheeks. So, I had to order a Medium.So don't otder one size smaller hoping it will break in. Just get your regular size. And I suspect it fits an oval head shape. Great helmet and one of the few that offer an optional amber inner visor. The website says yellow, but it's amber and does a good job blocking out the blue light spectrum.
