Excellent
The photocromic visor is just too good. Not too dark just comfortable enough in the sun. No need to wear sunglasses anymore. I wear prescription glasses so I'm very happy that i don't need to carry extra visor. Even though it's expensive, it's worth it.
Poorly constructed - jams shut on one side
This is poorly constructed. When clicked into the lid and closed (NXR) it jams on the non-clip side. That means when tying to pop open and lift the visor, it's simply locks hard on the opposide side and has to be forced open with a hard "pop". Original visor opens smoothly, this thing is a disaster. For the price mark - that's ludicrous.
I'm yet to test the photocromic properties of this, as I'm hesitant to even take it on the road. I can assume it works well in that regard as it's crystal clear in standard light at home.

Максимальное затемнение - примерно 80-85% от обычного черного визора. яркое солнце в лоб таки несильно, но слепит, вообще ни разу не солнцезащитные очки, конечно. однако, скорость затемнения высокая, просветления - тоже. одно только то, что этот визор в любом случае отменяет необходимость таскать 2 - обнуляет любые недостатки)))
ночью - комфортно, но разница с прозрачным конечно присутствует. не критично.

Excellent visor, works brilliantly, a bit expensive
So we all know it's expensive, especially when you compare it to the price of the helmet. Pricing a visor at half the price of the helmet seems a bit steep.
However, it does work well. I've had it about a month now and it's been sunny this summer, so some good experience in bright light.
It gets dark quickly, so no problems there. i have seen others say that it doesn't get dark enough, but I've not seen a problem.
It does take a little while to get light again, but that's not been a problem for me.I park in a covered car park and you do notice it when driving in.
Good quality as you would expect from a Shoei product.
I bought mine with a clear pinlock insert and that worked well too.
I'd give it 5 stars, but at that price...

Das Visier ist meiner persönlichen Meinung nach hervorragend. Ich fahre es ohne Pinlock Innenvisier, um Verzerrungen zu vermeiden. Immer klare Sicht und bei Sonne dunkelt das Visier ausreichend ab. Ich würde nicht mehr ohne dieses Visier fahren wollen. Es trägt wesentlich zu entspanntem Fahren bei.

The best visor ever. There is no need to change your visor from clear to dark ever again! It darkens enough in direct sunlight and you do not need any sunglasses. It also clears very quickly if you go through a tunnel. It is expensive but worth it.

C'est mon deuxième casque SHOEI NXR. Tout comme le premier, je l'ai équipé de la visière photochromique. Bon confort et visière très efficace.

Good but be careful with pinlock
Same helmet so you would expect pin-lock from regular visor works. Forget it. You need to buy another pin-lock for this visor because greedy Shoei changed size of pin-lock.
Tint adjustment is rather slow but I would say it is relatively good product. Unfortunately with all additional cost it's not worth the price

High quality product
Bought this for my Shoei RYD. Works better than expected, rendering my pair of sunglasses useless. It's really impossible to tell how fast or slow it reacts to light changes since your eyes compensate as well. Riding in and out of tunnels is really not an issue, like riding against the sun.
As the manual states, it is not indented for night riding since it is not completely clear when the included pinlock is used, especially in difficult conditions with rain and fog. However, this is not a usual riding condition.
Top notch product
For those with very light sensitive eyes this visor rates up there with the best prescription photochromic glasses on the market.
Tested the visor riding directly into a blazing winter sunset, using both my high end performance driving/sports sunglasses & my prescription photochromic glasses. The result I don't need to use my sunglasses at all anymore for riding, even my prescription glasses only go up a few degrees above the base tint in the worst case glare factor while using this visor with very little eye discomfort.
That's the first time since I've been diagnosed with very light sensitive eyes that has happen!
More than impressed the performance of this visor, a 11 out of 10 for performance rating.
Highly recommend for those who suffer from light sensitive eyes!

Bin das Visier jetzt einige km bei verschiedenen Wetterbedingungen gefahren -> hält absolut was es verspricht. Das Visier wird nicht so dunkel, dass es von aussen fast schwarz erscheint aber es wird dunkel genug um kein Gesicht mehr erkennen zu können.
Das beste allerdings ist, dass man den Wechsel selber kaum bemerkt... fliessend passt sich das Visier einfach dem aktuellen Sonnenschein an und für die Augen bleibt die Sicht immer gleich angenehm -> volle 5 Sterne.

Funktioniert super! Ich bin echt begeistert und bei direkter Sonneneinstrahlung fast so dunkel wie das vorherige Visier am alten Helm, das komplett schwarze. So allerdings eine bessere Lösung wenn man auch mal abends bei Dunkelheit fährt.

Muy dificil de mejorar
Llevo unos 1000km de primavera con el, con muchos nubes y claros y solo tengo buenas palabras para este producto. Simplemente espectacular, todas las pantallas deberian ser asi.

Après 1000km d'utilisation, étant porteur de lunette c'est tout simplement parfait.Cela remplace les lunettes solaire.
Le changement de ton de la visière est très rapide si bien que l'on ne sans rend pas compte. Le seul regret "ne la pas avoir commandé plut-tôt"

Va bien, cambia de tonalidad sin que te des cuenta, cuando te quitas el casco y ves que la visera es totalmente negra te quedas alucinado.

Un gran invento, no te enteras de cuando se aclara u oscurece, simplemente notas que el sol no te molesta y que se ve adecuadamente. Un 10 para Shoei en este producto y como siempre un 10 para FCMoto por su rapidez.

Verlaufendgetönt zum halben Preis vom diesem Visier wäre für mich auch in Ordnung gewesen, da der Preis schon eine echte Hausnummer ist. Leider hat Shoei nur noch diesen Preisknaller im Sortiment. Das Visier könnte etwas dunkler für meinen Geschmack sein, aber es funktioniert super und bei Abendfahrten ist es schon sehr angenehm. Punktabzug wegen dem Preisleistungsverhältnis.

In allen Wetterlagen getestet und das Visier macht genau das was es soll. Mit einem separat erhältlichen Pinlock ist es das einzige Visier was man noch braucht. Selbst bei einem Unfall mit langem Schleifen über das Visier hält es in gewohnter Shoei Qualität. Einzig bei tief stehender Sonne ist es grenzwertig mit der Sicht, da aber alles andere perfekt abgedeckt ist, gibt es volle 5 Sterne.

Going to & from work every day, the winter sun Here in Sydney Australia is very strong & low in the sky. Since changing to the photocromatic visor both safety & comfort have improved.
