Very, very good.... but....
Background: I ride all year round. My daily commute is a mixture of B, A and M roads both ways (A3, M25). Each way is around 1 hour.
The Positives: totally dry. Zero water ingress through glove or cuff. Incredibly warm and heated grips also work. I generally take a large in a variety of manufacturers gloves. 9 is a large with Rukka. It fits but slightly snug. No drama. Quality is excellent. So far ridden in temps down to -1/-2 deg C. Tips of fingers can get slightly cold but So far so good. Wrist strap is highly adjustable. The price from FC Moto with the Black Friday deal made this purchase an absolute no brainer. Same price point as mid/upper range gloves. As opposed to stratospherically high!
The Negatives: the zip on the cuff is impossible to do up once you've got one glove already on. I work around it by not having to undo the cuff zips. I can still get glove on and off without issues. The visor wipe is of no use to man or beast. I've fitted a rubber finger wipe (Bob Heath - Amazon). The RRP at £249 is ridiculous. Linings can pull out if you're not careful and one review states impossible to get wet hands into glove. Silk under gloves perhaps?
Overall: yes, they are bulky and smaller switch gear can be difficult to use at first. Again, it's something you can get used to. The trade off for warm dry hands is definitely worth it. I've used FC Moto a few times in the past and cannot fault price and extremely swift delivery from Germany.
Very, very good
The positives: waterproof, comfortable, seriously warm at 0 Dec C temperatures during a 1 hour commute at speeds of up to 70 mph on motorway. Tips of fingers usually start feeling the cold but NOT with these. Works well in either "pocket" with the heated grips. Solid construction with good levels of protection. One level down from my Dainese, but still very good. Price from FC Moto especially as I got lucky with Black Friday discount.
The negatives: the trade off for warmth is a loss of feel. Minor switch gear in particular are a challenge at first. But you can learn to adapt. You cannot do up/ undo the zipper at the cuff with the gloves on. I manage to get it on and off without touching the closed zip. Can be a struggle due to bulk under jacket sleeves that have no zip to increase aperture (Klim Badlands). Lining can pull out if you're not careful when removing the gloves. Again you can adapt. Visor wipe is of no use to man or beast. Too short and too rigid. RRP of £249 is fairly ridiculous.
In summation though, I'll put up with its shortcomings for the sheer warmth on my daily winter commute at the discounted FCM price.
Super!
Well Made GTX Leather Winter Gloves
I have these gloves for about a month now. I used these to temperatures as low as -2 with and without heated grips. With heated grips, these gloves are superb. Nice and comfortable. The internal layers offer good protection from direct cold and wet windblasts. It holds rain for over 2 hours and remains comfortable with the palm side griping over the heated bars
Without heated grips, the cold is affecting your hands at 0-3C degrees. The 2-1 system is not as efficient as advertised. If tha hands is in the middle, then there is less heat protection over the finger tips and then you feel very uncomfortable very quickly. I have added latex inner gloves to be able to drive back home
Hope this helps.
über 200€...?
外気温6℃で10㎞ほど走って使ってみました。グリフヒーターは必要がありませんでした。
しかし、他社の製品と比べると…十分に暖かいとは言えないです。
Erinomainen ajohanska
Tämä on moottoripyörähanskojen "Rolls Royce": kestävä, mukava kädessä, lämmin ja pitää kädet kuivina.
buono
Buono come impermeabilità e confort, le tasche sono veramente scomode
Much less than expected from a top line manufacturer.
The thumb on both gloves is tailored too short, this limits the air space within the glove and minimizes the lining insulation effect resulting in a cold thumb tip. On a long winter commute this is very annoying as the thumb is the least likely to benefit from heated grips. The glove above the wrist with the zip and tab is very poor, the velcro tab is virtually ineffective - too short, too stiff (I have cut it off, it's just an obstruction) and the glove in this are is too tight to fit outside a sleeve and too bulky to fit inside a sleeve, Disappointing, plainly not road tested in the design stage by a genuine biker under the conditions the glove is marketed for.
Great for the winter season
Very clever system of two gloves in one. Comfortable and warm without feeling too bulky. One gripe, the sizing is on a small side, I would advise to go one size up for added comfort.
Very good glove
Comfy abd nice looking. Maybe slightly stiff but I'm just to racing gloves...They probably get's softer as you use them more. I like how you can choosethicker or thinner padding palmside just by putting it on differently.
very good
they are good fit
Great Product
These have to be the best winter gloves I have purchased!
The option to have a warmer glove and a glove with more feel is ideal. The innovative idea from Rukka to combine both in one glove is a great (if not simple) idea. The gloves provide the wet and wind protection needed without sacrificing the feel and the grip on the bars whilst riding. I also have heated grips and using the glove with less padding on the palm face allows the heated grips to work well.
The only down side is that the zipper on the cuff of the glove does not open wide enough to put the gloves on over the sleeve of the jacket. and when the gloves are on, trying to find the zipper and zip up the cuff is difficult as the zip closer is so small.
I purchased these from FC Moto so got a fantastic deal on the gloves - I would say at least £70 less than you would pay in the UK. For the money a fantastic glove, great quality and 100% waterproof. I would recommend these gloves to anyone who rides throughout the winter as a great investment.
A bit on the pricey side - but you get what you pay for and these are the best quality gloves I have ever purchased.
good
perfectly waterproof and well insulated, i start feeling cold on top of fingers "just" below 2/3 degrees, comfortable and the full leather effect is very nice looking, just one problem...if your hands get wet before wearing them...you'll have an hard 5 minutes to put them on...
