Alpinestars' lightest autonomous airbag system, Tech-Air® 3 is designed to be worn over or under the motorcycle jacket. It is the effective and practical choice for touring riders, urban commuters and off-road adventure riders. Featuring a waterproof main chassis and waterproof ECU and electronics, the sleek, self-contained system can also be worn under a motorcycle jacket, including an Alpinestars Tech-Air® Ready jacket or any leather or textile jacket, provided the jacket provides enough room to allow the airbag to inflate.Tech-Air® 3 allows riders to enjoy the daily commute even more knowing they are protected.

The Tech-Air® 3 airbag system is automatically activated via the magnetic zipper
The vest can be easily stored in a backpack or under the bike seat when not in use

The Tech-Air® 3 features a diagonal zipper that completely covers the chest while concealing the internal airbag. The magnetic zipper is easy to use and provides a secure closure system for the airbag garment.
An LED indicator on the front chest shows the operating status of the airbag. The LED indicator also includes a haptic warning signal that uses vibration to confirm that the system is activated and alerts the rider when the battery is running low
Tech-Air® 3 includes Alpinestars' 2nd generation compact electronic control unit (ECU), located in the ECU pocket on the upper back of the Tech-Air® 3 inner vest
Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE 5.0) connectivity with the Tech-Air® app allows riders to monitor system operating status and battery status, and provides a detailed map of motorcycle rides via MyRide
Upgradeable system software is accessible through the Tech-Air® app
Integrated back protector pocket on the rear can accommodate additional passive back protection.
Tech-Air® 3 uses an impact detection algorithm that uses artificial intelligence to accurately monitor when the airbag is deployed in the event of an impact, allowing the airbag to provide active protection while riding on the road and in a variety of riding conditions, even when stationary

It's the lightest vest available, but you still feel it when you ride, in particular the canister witch is located on the lower left back. The battery is very good, as advertised. Also you can update the firmware over the phone app. If you plan to wear it over the jacket, choose your regular size. If you want to wear it under the jacket, choose a size smaller.

I used the vest around 10 times and one time when I was taking it off, it popped. I should have waited 5 seconds before taking the vest off, so no warranty and now I have pretty new but useless vest. 3 stars
