How it works
I like these so much I have ordered another pair to replace the 12 year old ones that are wearing out. I use them for touring and commuting. I can wear them in the office all day or through the most monumental Alpine thunder storm. The short shaft makes it easy to get them on - I struggle with long boots due to a high instep that just won't get past the narrowing at the ankle. There is a downside to short boots but not the fault of the Daytonas. Obviously a shorter shaft gove less shin protection so if a stone flicks there is more chamce it will hurt. Also, if you go through deep water on a bike without a full fairing, water may go up inside your trouser leg and flood over the top of the boot. Neither of these have happened very often in the last 12 years.
We want everything to fit right . Take some quick measurements if you are unsure of your current clothes size. The most accurate measurements will be those you take in your underwear, applying the measuring tape directly to your body.
