How it works
An excellent multi-material adventure touring jacket that, when matched with the Valparaiso Pants, makes for a formidable all-weather riding ensemble with its waterproof and breathable DRYSTAR® membrane plus thermal liner. The Valparaiso 2 has superb comfort features thanks to the Jet Ventilation System (JVS) air vents and its ergonomic, class-leading CE certified shoulder and elbow protection.
CONSTRUCTION
Multi-material main shell construction for durability, with abrasion and tear-resistant panels in critical impact areas with removable sleeves for riding in hot climates.
Removable and interchangeable waterproof and breathable DRYSTAR® liner with taped seams to ensure waterproof performance.
Removable long sleeve thermal liner means jacket can be worn in colder climates.
Jet Ventilation System (JVS) features large zippered air vents with open mesh gussets on torso and back, plus two-way zip vents on arms for cooling performance on long rides.
SAFETY FEATURES
Removable CE-certified Bio-Armor shoulder and elbow protection for superb impact protection.
Chest and back pad compartments with PE padding (Alpinestars’ Nucleon chest and back protectors available as accessory upgrade).
Anatomical, pre-curved sleeve design incorporates Velcro® volume control adjustment straps for improved comfort, fine-tune adjustment of garment and to help keep elbow protections in place.
Increased reflective detailing and logos for increased rider visibility.
Fully compatible with Alpinestars’ Bionic Neck Support models.
COMFORT AND CUSTOMIZATION
Collar construction incorporates comfort lining and features Velcro® and magnet closure system. Collar includes expansion gusset for increased neck coverage.
Accordion stretch inserts on elbows for improved fit while riding, plus waist adjustment belt for customized fit and secure closure.
Elongated rear profiling for comfort and protection in the riding position.
Pre-curved, articulated sleeves with gusseted Velcro cuffs enhance fit and comfort in the riding position.
Highly water resistant external storage provided by waterproof zips and an internal waterproof wallet pocket.
Convenient storage options with two front cargo style pockets and large rear utility pocket.
Premium YKK zippers with twin sliders on front zipper, plus waist connection zipper for secure attachment to Alpinestars riding pants.

I buoght this item from Turkey,I am using it 1 and half year because I ride in the winter I ride with 4 season crf 250 rally,sometime weather could be between the -5 and -18 C. I mever cold,for example;I wear body and tshirt and Dainese Windstopper like a polar something.. and Valparaiso ! I used it under the heavy rain along 45 minutes and I never was wet...also pockets are was dry... But It was a 1.5 years and rain level jacket’s sleeves wore quickly...and sometimes 3.jacket could be thighten from arms it has a 3.jacket problem is lock places..but price and performance is very good ! Without summer you can use 3 season abaolutely and never be feel regret !

I carefully measured myself and yet this jacket and pants both run a size too small. I generally would wear L but in this case after receiving this set, I am sad to report that I should've bought XL.
