I am a bicycle courier and I use a non-electric bike to work in Ireland where it is rainy, stormy and cold, often! I bought the Alpinestars S Max Drystar Waterproof Motorcycle Gloves after doing some research into waterproof, outdoor activity gloves. Although I would personally like a glove with slightly more flexibility and thermal protection, these gloves are fantastic for when I am working. They last about 3 hours, in VERY heavy rain without any ingress of water. After that the gloves become heavy, saturated, and start to let water in, in light, or medium rain the gloves should last indefinitely. The gloves offer little or no thermal protection. If it is cold outside, within an hour my hands start to feel cold. If it wasn't cold, or just chilly, then the gloves are fine, the wind is kept out and they make a nice light and snug layer for my hands. The gloves are stiff for a while after washing them, and when I got them at first, however after the first or second ride after washing they break in nicely are are as flexible like any other non-PPE level 1 outdoor gloves.
The gloves deserve a 5/5 rating for their waterproofing and they're protective PPE level 1 rating.
