Shoei Neotec 3 Grasp 頭盔

Other than being lighter and slightly less noisy than a 250 dollars HJC, there's not much difference, especially visor wise. The reason why I bought it is because it has that locking mechanism so I assumed it will insulate better. Due to the poor design, there's a gap between the top of the visor and the helmet where snow, water, sand, etc. builds up and they're pushed into the inside of the helmet by the wind. After 20 minutes of riding in the rain, water is pushed on the inside of the visor and you have to stop to wipe it dry or try to see how fast can you find out if there's a God or not. Snow? No problem! Right in the helmet and you can actually feel it on your face. The air vents get stuck at the slightest trail of dust/sand/salt and with winter gloves on, good luck opening/closing them!
Overall I was wrong for getting my hopes to high and thinking that I'm paying for quality as well, not only for the fame of the brand.
Positive thing: the Pinlock provided does a great job, but that's not realy a Shoei pro.

I had the first Neotec and I was absolutely happy with it! As it worn out, I moved to the Neotec 3! Absolutely happy again! Everything top quality, perfect functionality and feel! Highly recommend! Discounted price welcomed!

My first Modular, ttho certainly not my first Shoei. For a helmet ordered from Germany (I wanted the ECE22.06 rating not the ‘bicycle helmet’ Amerikan DOT spec) it arrived quickly and cost significantly less. I will be buying from FCMOTO again.
The helmet is comfortable, the anti fog pin lock works well and the sun screen is a blessing. The controls are easy to use; it's a great helmet…..it's a Shoei
