In addition to the proven mechanical security and smart technology of the previous product, the 2.0 version of the brake disc lock comes with two new features: an optimised Bluetooth® unit and a more sustainable battery model. If the battery life is exceeded, you can contact our customer service team and have the battery replaced at the factory. Operation of the lock remains particularly secure and convenient thanks to the rechargeable battery, simple control via the ABUS One app and encrypted Bluetooth® communication between smartphone and lock. The proven ABUS SmartX technology, a loud alarm in the event of attempted break-ins and the 13.5 mm thick locking bolt made of specially hardened steel ensure the best possible theft protection. The lock can make your everyday life easier by authorising other people to open the lock via the ABUS One app. This allows family members, colleagues or friends to ride your motorbike home safely if you don't want to leave it unattended.

I don’t know what I was thinking to myself when I bought this product. Its a motorcycle lock which suppose to be opened by bluetooth only. There is no physical key at all. The most stupid design such a respectable company could have thought of. It means if you phone died - you are stuck with your bike locked with no way to open. If the lock’s battery dies - same. And of course Bluetooth is not a very reliable connection (even for Apple) and it stops recognizing the lock at all. It was such a frustrating experience. I got stuck several times while really in a hurry. Sent it back to Fc-Moto (who were absolutely alright) but Abus response was “no defect was found”. And its a 250€ lock. Never ever even consider buying it. Just buy a regular lock with regular keys.

The worst design by ABUS. The lock doesn’t have any physical key which means you rely solely on Bluetooth connection which glitches occasionally and you find yourself struggling in a desperate attempt to let your motorbike free. After two weeks stopped to recognize the phone and I had to look for a blacksmith to remove it before opening it myself by chance. Sent it back to FC-moto but probably they will only send it for repair although I wish to replace it with regular Abus Granit with a key.
