When receiving the Alpinestars mid layer jacket I was surprised that the fabric seemed rather thin, but this allows to wear it under your riding leathers without making thing too tight. I addition, as a result the jacket is light.
Body insulation when worn under a leather jacket is surprisingly good and its keeps you warm at low two digit Celsius temperatures.
Due to its lightness, the jacket is also very comfortable when worn casually similar to a sweater over a T-shirt.
I actually bought as second one that I wear now often at home.
