Designed for racing and recreational motorcycling, the Tech-Air® 7x provides the rider with full upper body protection by covering the shoulders, chest and entire back. The Tech-Air® 7x can be used as a stand-alone system or as an integrated system in a compatible suit or jacket. The system is designed for use on closed circuits, on the road and in light off-road conditions. The state-of-the-art wearable Tech-Air® 7x airbag system features an active electronic system with twelve integrated sensors: three triaxial accelerometers (one on the back protector and two on the shoulders) and a triaxial gyroscope (in the back protector). These sensors monitor the rider's body for shocks or unexpected movements. Developed through years of research in collaboration with more than 50% of the world's leading MotoGP riders and Alpinestars customers who ride with Tech-Air® systems, our team has analyzed riding data from millions of miles and thousands of crashes to continuously improve the system's intelligent crash detection algorithm. Upon detecting a crash situation that occurs when the driver's body is exposed to a high and/or sudden amount of energy, the algorithm triggers the deployment of the protective airbag, providing unparalleled protection to the driver or passenger wearing the system (with a maximum inflation time of 44 ms, depending on the size of the airbag). The Tech-Air® 7x system comes with two different riding modes: RACE mode for riding on closed circuits and STREET mode for on-road and light off-road riding. Users can easily switch between STREET and RACE modes using the Tech-Air® app. The system must always be used in STREET mode when riding on public roads and NOT on a closed race track. Drivers should always remember to switch from RACE mode to STREET mode when leaving the track to ensure they have full protection, even when stopping at traffic lights, junctions or for other reasons. Airbag protection when stopping is only provided by the STREET mode algorithm.

Features:

• The Tech-Air® 7x is equipped with two driving modes, RACE and STREET, which have special AI crash detection algorithms and can be easily selected via the Tech-Air® app.
• The Tech-Air® 7x is equipped with a conversion kit so that it can also be worn as a stand-alone airbag system and is therefore versatile.
• The Tech-Air® 7x is dual-chargeable, which means that the system enables two separate airbag deployments with two full gas generators. In the event of an accident, only one gas generator is triggered to inflate the entire airbag system.
• A quick-release opening allows the gas generator to be replaced quickly by the user. However, this replacement is only permitted in countries where local regulations allow the gas generator to be replaced by individuals.
• The Tech-Air® 7x system uses an integrated, certified lithium-ion battery with a lifetime of approx. 20 hours of active protection when fully charged. The recharge time is approx. 4 hours; with a charging time of approx. 1 hour, this results in a riding time of approx. 7 to 8 hours.
• To activate the Tech-Air® 7x system, simply close the front flap and make sure to fasten the Velcro fasteners correctly. An internal magnetic switch detects that the front flap is closed and the system automatically switches on and activates the airbag system. To deactivate the airbag, open the front flap and the system switches off automatically.
• The base layer of the Tech-Air® 7x system can be washed separately by hand after the non-washable parts have been removed. This includes the airbag, the gas generators and all electronic components, including the LED display and wiring.

• The Tech-Air® 7x can be connected to an externally wired LED display, which is available as an accessory for use with special Alpinestars Tech-Air® 7x racing suits or jackets.
• The system can be connected to the LED display on the left arm of Alpinestars Tech-Air® compatible leather suits or jackets or to the new Tech-Air® 7x wired LED display, available as an accessory, for use with the new generation of Tech-Air® 7x compatible garments equipped with a dedicated LED display pocket and cable routing.
• The front flap has an integrated charging port for convenient and easy charging of the system. Simply plug the USB-C cable into the front flap and connect it to a power source. The charging port is always accessible, even when the system is integrated into an Alpinestars leather suit or jacket.
• The Tech-Airs® 7x control unit is located in a robust housing and is protected by a seal in the vest to ensure all-weather suitability. The vest and components are approved for use in temperatures between -10 °C and 50 °C.
• The vest features extensive perforations for excellent air circulation, while the ribbed finish and air channels on the inside provide enhanced breathability and strong airflow for maximum comfort. Strategically positioned stretch inserts on the sides ensure an optimal fit.
• After the airbag is deployed, the air is automatically released via a release valve.
• The housing of the gas generator, the electronic wiring and the airbag are easy to remove.
• Through the Bluetooth connection to a Tech-Air® app, drivers can call up the operating status of the airbag system, the battery status and MyRide driving information. This information can be easily accessed via a mobile device, depending on network coverage.
• Drivers can easily update the system's firmware via the Tech-Air® app when new crash detection algorithms are released.

Compatibility:

• The Tech-Air® 7x is designed to be worn under any Alpinestars Tech-Air® Ready or Tech-Air® compatible leather suit or jacket. It can also be used under clothing from other manufacturers, provided that it offers 4 cm of space around the rider's chest. This additional space on the chest is necessary to allow the airbag to inflate in the event of a deployment. In addition, the leather suit should not be too tight in the crotch area so that it does not become uncomfortable in the event of a deployment. The Tech-Air® 7x is designed to be quickly and easily attached to Tech-Air® compatible racing suits or jackets to increase functionality and comfort.
