The characteristics of a cotton filter can be summarised in simple terms: permeability, filtration, retention, re-use
Permeability: presents minimal obstacles for maximum air flow
Filtration: prevents foreign bodies from penetrating
Retention: retains solid particles
Reuse: cotton filters can be reused thanks to BMC-specific cleaning products
The Racing range is the track version for the most common motorcycle models. Identical in form to the ‘Performance’ version but made with different filtration material to further increase the air influx (+25%) without sacrificing on other properties. The Racing range is identifiable by the orange line that runs through the filtration body.
