This charging insert can be used to charge the Moto II device while riding. It is designed so that it can be connected to the motorbike battery using ring terminals. The design allows all mounts (except the universal mount) to be adapted to power the device. To install, the original holder insert must be removed from the holder, then the charging insert is fitted in its place. The charging insert uses pogo pins to charge the device via contacts on the underside. The design is conceived to avoid corrosion problems that can often occur with this type of charging cradle for navigation devices. The charging insert can be installed so that the cable exits either at the top or bottom. A rectifier chip in the device allows both contacts to accept positive or negative charge.
