The laminated, waterproof Gore-Tex® membrane (45.000 mm) serves as a shield against rain and atmospheric agents, while always guaranteeing excellent breathability. The construction in soft, resistant Mugello fabric adapts perfectly to the body, faithfully tracing its movement in the saddle. The removable thermal lining boosts comfort even when traveling in winter and allows for great versatility of use, in combination with the zipper-operated air vents. The highest Dainese safety standards are upheld with Pro-Armor Level 2, type B protectors on the knees. Inspired by the geometries of natural fractals, Dainese Pro-Armor technology allows for maximum protection, with the mobility of a soft protector and ideal ventilation due to a surface that is perforated across 40 % of its area.
I purchased the jacket and found it to be 5 Star. I then purchased these pants due to the jacket quality. Dainese gear fits me well and these are no exception. They are wam with the liner installed, I do wish the liner retention straps were color coded in the leg (white to white or similar). With the liner removed they are not hot weather pants, but do breathe well enough when moving and still offer protection. With the GoreTex there is no water intrusion. Very happy with purchase.

I have worn the trousers numerous times since January and so far they are excellent in the cold. You are able to tighten the ankles using velcro, thereby stopping any cold/wind accessing the legs. As yet, I haven't tried them in the wet so cannot comment on their waterproofness.
