These are objectively the worst motorcycle boots I've ever ridden in and I deeply regret my purchase.
They have a very impressive spec sheet but are terrible for actually riding in.
1. Sole lacks grip and slips on foot pegs. Was only riding in the dry. Can't imagine how dangerous this could get in the rain. 2. Weird shaped. Wide heel area and narrow toe box. 3. US sizing chart is inaccurate. I wear a US 9 in sneakers and purchased a 43 which fits me okay. The tag on the boot says this corresponds to a US 10. I'd say they are smaller and anyone who actually wears US10 would find these too short. 4. Hook and loop fasteners are weak. They loosen as I'm riding. These are brand new and are already this weak. It's only going to get worse with time and use. 5. Toe box is really high, making it difficult to get toe under gear shifter. No, adjusting the controls wont fix it. That'll make it uncomfortable for shifting the other way.
I truly wonder if anyone at IXS ever tried riding in these boots before putting it out to market.
Haven't tried them in rain yet, so I can't tell imuch regarding their waterproofing. Will update my review after testing in the rain. But even if they are waterproof, I'd still recommend getting something else.
