Ich bin 183cm und 105kg schwer, ich habe die Jacke in XXL gekauft. Die Grösse erlaubt es mir bequem einen (fülligen) Midlayer darunter anzuziehen, für das habe ich sie auch gekauft.
Ich habe die Jacke während 2 Jahren zu jeder Jahreszeit getragen. Sie hält - mit entsprechender Darunter-Ausrüstung - im Winter warm (so warm wie es um den Gefrierpunkt herum eben geht...) und im Sommer ist sie auch erträglich. Ab ca. 25 Grad Celsius wird es aber dann schon ziemlich heiss darunter, dass sollte man auf jeden Fall beachten. Die Jacke ist, zumindest mit allen 5 Protektoren - auch nicht leicht, sie wiegt schon was. Die Verarbeitung ist top, ich habe keinerlei Beschwerden. Einzig bei der linken Innentasche (die grössere für die Dokumente?) hat sich nun nach 2 Jahren der Reisverschluss verabschiedet (könnte man aber auf jeden Fall reparieren).
Die Jacke ist 100% wasserdicht (ich bin nicht sicher ob das der richtige Ausdruck ist dafür?). Die Produktbezeichnung ist zwar "wasserabweisend" jedoch ist bei mir selbst nach Monsunregen kein Tropfen ins Innere geraten. Ich war mal so dumm und hatte die seitlichen Taschen offen, da gelang Wasser rein, aber ansonsten ist die Jacke komplett safe.
Ich kann die Jacke nur wärmstens emfpehlen. Und gemäss der Homepage von JD wird die neuste Generation (also ab 2023) auch AAA gerated. Also für den Preis eine absolute Wucht!

Ich liebe diese Jacke. Sie bequem und hat ein großes Temperaturfenster an der man sie Tragen kann. Nach etwas über zwei Jahre hat sich die Farbe, besondern an den Stretch-Bündchen sehr verfärbt. Was man an Schutzkleidung aber eigentlich gar nicht sehen möchte ist, dass sich die Naht am Ärmel von allene ohne zutun löst. Jeder redet von Sicherheitsnähten und bei John Doe reicht der Fahrtwind um die Jacke unbrauchbar zu machen. Obwohl sie bis letzte Woche meine Lieblingsjacke war ... leider nur ein Punkt als Motorradjacke

Nun als Cruiser mit einer grossen Touren-Maschine einer amerikanischen Marke habe ich eine leichtere Jacke oder Hoodie gesucht der mich auch bei miesem Wetter - Schottland-Tour - vor dem Regen schützt und da bin ich auf diese Jacke gestossen - ich bin 178cm gross und 87 Kg schwer und da ich es gerne lockerer habe und was drunter anziehen möchte bestelle ich üblicherweise Grösse XL aber bei John Doe sind dies wohl deutsche Masse war eindeutig zu gross und so musste ich auf L wechsel und die sitzt perfekt, die Kapuzze kann man entfernen wenn die stört, das Material ist top, einzig evtl. wenn man den Reissverschluss ganz hochzieht ist es am Hals ein wenig eng geschnitten, toll sind auch die seitlichen Belüftungsschlitze wenn es etwas warm wird. Eine Fahrt mit leichtem Regen war kein Problem wie es dann bei strömenden Regen aussieht weiss ich noch nicht aber ich denke das Material hält auch diesem stand - nun es ist effektiv keine Sommerjacke - Temperaturen von 10-hhöchstens 25 Grad sind ok aber für den Sommer ist die Jacke definitiv zu warm aber für Ueberganszeiten oder nasskaltem Wetter ideal. Die Level 2 Protektoren sind wenig spürbar, mit den Level 1 wäre die Jacke noch ein wenig geschmeidiger aber eben guter Schutz ist wichtig alles in allem Tolle Jache würde ich wieder kaufen.
