The Krios Pro is the first ECE helmet for ADV riders from North America to integrate Koroyd® materials and construction. The Krios Pro helmet sets new standards in comfort, performance and airflow while leaving traditional compromises behind. Dinge die man vor dem Kauf wissen möchte:

- Statt einschiebbarem Sonnenvisier gibt's ein selbsttönendes Visier. Das ist nett, hat aber auch Nachteile: Es dunkelt nämlich nicht unbedingt gleichmäßig ab. Fällt irgendwo an eine Stelle mehr Licht als auf den Rest, wird die Stelle dunkler. Blöd ist das, wenn durch die Löcher des Sonnenschirms die Sonne Lichtflecken auf das Visier scheint. Besonders extrem bei hochgeklapptem Visier.

- Von komplett transparent zu maximal-abgedunkelt (oder umgekehrt) braucht das Visier sowas wie 45sek. Für Tunneldurchfahrten ist das blöd. Da muss man halt das Visier öffnen.

- Klim wirbt stark mit dem Einsatz des Materials Koroyd. Mehr als Werbeversprechen gibt's aber nicht. Keine unabhängigen Tests oder Crashtestergebnisse. Das macht keinen guten Eindruck.

- Ja, der Helm ist angenehm leicht. Trotzdem sind Aussagen wie "Man spürt fast nicht mehr, dass man überhaupt einen Helm auf dem Kopf hat" stark übertrieben.

- Crossbrillen (getestet mit der Klim EDGE Offroad Brille) passen – auch bei ausgebautem Visier – kaum und sind beim an- und ausziehen umständlich bis unpraktisch.

- Die Verarbeitungsqualität ist in Ordnung, aber nicht so perfekt, wie man sie von einem Helm dieser Preisklasse erwarten würde.

- An und Ausziehen des Helms ist recht stramm. Wenn der Helm aber einmal sitzt, ist er sehr Bequem.

- Die Belüftung scheint sehr gut, einen heißen Sommertag zum Testen hatte ich aber noch nicht.

- Gemessen habe ich Größe 60,4. Anprobiert habe ich L (59/60) und XL (61/62). Beide passen, aber der kleinere sitzt besser und drückt nicht. Bei meinem Zweithelm (Shoei Neotec II) fahre ich Größe XL (61/62).

Fazit: Auch wenn ich viel Kritik geäußert habe, behalte ich den Helm wahrscheinlich. Ausschlaggebend ist der bequeme Sitz, die gute Belüftung und meine Neugier.
Das ist mein erster Adventure-Helm und mein erster Helm mit selbsttönendem Visier. Beides möchte ich mal gründlich ausprobieren.
