I use these instead of the thin rubber padding that comes in the knee area of M/c jeans and they are very comfortable. The protection is far superior to the normal padding in jeans and they will fit under normal jeans (no, not skinny ones).
We want everything to fit right . Take some quick measurements if you are unsure of your current clothes size. The most accurate measurements will be those you take in your underwear, applying the measuring tape directly to your body.
