A further upgrade for the timeless Ø 68.5 cylinder kit!
1983
The aluminium cylinder with 68,5 mm diameter - turning point in Vespa tuning - was born. Made of Nicasil aluminium, with super light piston and 1.2 mm semi trapezoidal rings, it becomes a legend, a real musthave for all Vespa fans.
2008
The cylinder is updated, by adding the head with hemispherical combustion chamber and central spark plug.
2013
The cylinder, always made of Nicasil aluminium, has been completely changed concerning both main and rear ports and exhaust port as well. Exhaust port will be available in three versions.
2016
To complete a long list of improvements, we introduce a new “black“ piston with a molybdenum sulfide coated skirt. The semitrapezoidal ring seat and dome remain unchanged, while the real innovation is the completely new mould, where new windows allow not only a perfect match with the latest generation of the cylinder, but also interchangeable with its previous versions. The reinforcement ribs, totally revisited, provide a lightweight design with even greater strength.
2022
The connection to the silencer is made by means of a flange-joint set fixed to the cylinder through four cap screws and to the exhaust through an o-ring seal to avoid any leakage from the cylinder kit. This extremely easy system allows to fit with the maximum resistance any kind of exhaust with Ø44.5 mm inlet diameter present in the market, thus avoiding any unscrewing or rotation due to vehicle vibrations.

TOURISM USE
3118591 - Cylinder kit Ø 68,5 aluminium CVF2 pin Ø 16
This version offers a better performance compared to the previous one. It can be fit together with completely original or slightly modified crankcases, original carburettor or carburettor with 30 mm diameter and Power Exhaust Black Sound art. 3218742.
SPORT cylinder art. 3118887 can be fit with original head.
RACING USE
3118599 - Cylinder kit MHR Ø 68,5 aluminium CVF2 pin Ø 16 stroke 60
Recommended to be fit with a 60 mm stroke crankshaft, strongly tuned crankcases, carburettors with Ø 30 diameter and more, Malossi or expansion exhaust.
(*) MHR version is different from SPORT version also due to the port map with racing features. The perfect centering between head and cylinder is guaranteed by two centering bushes located on two stud bolts, while the o-ring ensures a perfect seal.
