Since 1988, the sporty disc was developed with tear-off edges, which reduced air resistance in a crouched seating position. Measurements by Motorrad magazine, for example, measured a top speed 5 km/h higher on a KAWASAKI ZZR 1100.
In 1992, development continued and made it possible to produce discs with a tear-off edge in such a way that no distortion occurs.
In 1994, MRA was the first manufacturer to introduce the racing discs (double bubble). In the following years, well-known riders won GP victories and world championships on GP machines with MRA racing discs.
MRA is proud that many manufacturers and racing teams worldwide rely on MRA products because in racing only top technology is used.
But also for touring riders, the MRA engineers show their skills and creativity. The latest example is the X-CREEN series. No spoiler disc has ever been more versatile and individual. The small spoiler can be adjusted in height, angle and distance to the disc and makes the disc a multi-talent.

With the Tiger 900, the successful path of the 800s is continued. Many improvements in detail make it a practical motorcycle for everyday use, with which the rider also enjoys long tours.
The Variotouring disc (VTM) has a 7-way adjustable spoiler at the top end of the disc and is higher than the MRA touring disc with the overall length (with spoiler in the highest position) of 46cm. This allows the airflow between the windshield and VT spoiler to be more or less fanned out, further reducing wind pressure without creating turbulence. Optimal conditions for relaxed driving, even on long tours. The Variotouring lens is available in clear and smoke gray.
