The Merlin Bandit D3O boots are work boots with motorcycle specific features. The Hipora waterproof membrane keeps your feet dry. Reinforcement at the heel, ankle and toe provide more protection.

Supreme quality, but greatly oversized (31.10.2025)

Received my 41 size boots, but unfortunately they are too big. Waaay to big, at least two sizes up! It's kind of a bummer, because 41 is the smallest Merlin offers for men, and even if wanted to go with a ladies model, they all come in black, no brown options :(
With that said, the sheer quality of craftsmanship is absolutely world class - and I'm from a place that's renowned for high quality shoe making. I'm really sad I cant use these, because at 150eur you just cannot find this same quality (only on par with Rokker, but those cost 2x or 3x more).

They look and feel cool, but are not waterproof at all. Nubuk leather drinks water like crazy and they dry up for three days. After first soaking the boots held okay, but on the second rain my feet were all wet. And I used impregnating spray in between. I guess it's the thinner and softer material on the tongue. Anyways, I'm keeping them, but cannot rate 5 stars.
