How it works

Description

Change the image of your motorcycle by replacing the original indicators with the universal AX indicators from Puig. Black turn signal with amber glass (63.4x18.2mm) that has the particularity of being composed of LED lights. It is an approved product that contains the E-mark Certification. Intermittent function. Technical Information Switching: Most motorcycles use bimetal relays. Its frequency (which is the one that sets the rhythm of the indicators), depends on the amperage that circulates through the circuit. By replacing the original turn signals with others of different power, we vary the amperage that circulates through the circuit and consequently we vary the frequency of flashing of the indicators. If, on the other hand, the motorcycle uses electronic relays (whose frequency is independent of the amperage that circulates through the circuit), the change of indicators should not affect the flashing frequency. · Note: if in doubt about which relay our motorcycle uses, it is advisable to mount the indicators and check the flashing frequency. If we replace the original turn signals with others that also use incandescent bulbs, we must check that they have the same power. In case it varies, we must replace the indicator bulbs with others of the same power as the original ones. In our catalog we have boxes of bulbs of different powers. If we replace the original indicators with LED ones (with a much lower power than incandescent bulbs), we have two options to balance the flicker frequency: 1. Incorporate a parallel resistor in the circuit on the right side and another in the circuit on the left side. If we replace the four indicators, we must use the resistor Ref. 4298O. If, on the other hand, we only replace two indicators (one on each side) we must use the resistor Ref. 5873O. A schematic for parallel connection is provided with the resistences. · Note: in most models, the use of resistors prevents the warning from working correctly. 2. Identify the flashing relay of our motorcycle (location and number of pins) and replace it with the corresponding one from the list we offer. On most motorcycles, when changing the relay, the warning works correctly. · Note: there are some motorcycles on the market that do not have a specific flashing relay, so it is impossible to replace it. Also, if more than one relay is involved in the flashing maneuver, replacing a single relay may not solve the problem. · Note 2: Some LED indicators flash faster than normal when connected with voltage (it is normal to check the polarity of the cables with the flashing function activated). To check the actual flashing frequency, remove all voltage by setting the key to the "off" position and then switch to the "on" position to activate the flashing function.
