Renthal front sprockets are made from a specially developed nickel-chrome-molybdenum steel that is case-hardened and core-refined to provide the ultimate combination of strength and hardness.
- Material: Nickel-chrome-molybdenum steel, case-hardened and core-refined.
- ULTRALIGHT: Extra material machined away to reduce mass. Less rotating mass → faster engine spin-up and reduced over-run.
- GROOVED: Cut-outs at the tooth base to allow mud to escape from between the chain and chain-wheel.
Allowing mud to escape prevents added tension on the chain and the accelerated wear that would follow.
