Rukka D3O Air XTR Knee / Shin Protectors

D3O® Air is a patented protective material that offers shock absorption and impact protection through a combination of chemical processes and special material behaviour. The D3O® Air material was specially developed for the Rukka protectors. The material consists of 'intelligent' molecules that flow freely while being worn, but they immediately interlock on impact, absorb the energy and are then movable again. D3O Air drastically distributes the force of the impact, reducing the risk of injury. The impact protection remains in place even after repeated impacts. Comfort, freedom of movement and safety are always present.

Protectors are very convenient (though a bit heavy), shape makes them seat around the knee very well, also they are very flexible. Bought them as a replacement protectors for my Trilobite Dual Pants (it required a taylor sew up a new protector cover with velcro, similar to the cover came with original armor).
