How it works
SHIMA has developed the Openair jacket for short motorcycle trips on hot summer days. All its features are focused towards comfort. The lightweight mesh fabric combined with protectors with a two-layer honeycomb structure is designed to provide effective protection and maximum air permeability. The jacket of protection class A is equipped with a breathable ArmorPlus back protector (level 2) as well as breathable elbow and shoulder protectors (level 1) and can still be retrofitted with a chest protector (sold separately). The waist width can be easily adjusted and the feminine fit is designed with the anatomy of the ladies' silhouette in mind. The EvoLink System allows a combination with inner layers such as a cooling or heating vest (available as an option). Stow your essentials in the two outer pockets, the waterproof dry pocket in the lining and an additional inner pocket. In addition, this single-layer jacket has a short zipper and a connecting loop that allows it to be attached to SHIMA pants.

I have one now for a year and its perfect for what i need, the ladies one i ordered for my wife but sadly their sizing is way off and their largest size was way too small so ladies beware we estimated their xl was just about a M we did get another jacket which was a L wihich fitted perfectly

This is a great jacket looking jacket (I got grey) with snap loops for belt loop and even tank/bra strap at shoulder front. Love that the armor is also honeycomb ventilated. I just wish the upper arms were not cut for skinny arms, and had an adjustment if you wanted to snug them up. Alas my arms are not skinny & had to wear it without the shoulder armor for a first outing, and impressed with the air flow and comfort when riding. I love everything about, except the tight upper sleeves, and so I will alter the sleeves to suit my circumference and length (I'm also petite, so may shorten them, too!). But if you're not able/willing to alter a garment, I'd avoid this if you have full upper arms, otherwise, it's fantastic.
We want everything to fit right . Take some quick measurements if you are unsure of your current clothes size. The most accurate measurements will be those you take in your underwear, applying the measuring tape directly to your body.
