Well made comfortable first time on and look good. Good safety rating but flexible enough to ride and get off the bike and walk about in. I've ridden in light rain and the waterproofing worked fine. I don't know about heavy rain or standing water. A bit stiff to get on at first but getting easier with wear. Quite tall for a lace up, not quite as high at the front as my Alpinestars web goretex. If you like a very tall boot with shin protection perhaps not for you. Finally great price and fast delivery to the UK from FC MOTO. Whats not to like

Sehr guter Stiefel, sitzt perfekt und ist bequem.
Durch den Reißverschluss ist er sehr leicht einfach an- und auszuziehen.
Farbe schwarz ist eher dunkelgrau, aber sieht trotzdem super aus.
Sehr zufrieden.

I bought the boots a year ago, and they are so cool in style that I am wearing them on the street as well! They needed a short break in time, as they were stiff at the beginning, and gave me some bruises on my left shin for a week. After the break in period (about one week) they became so comfortable as wearing slippers at home.
The soles are not too stif, so they are very easy and comfortable to walk in. You would think this negatively impacts the protection ability, but actually it provides really good protection. It has proper toe cage, hill guard and ankle cups. The large zippers are a BIG pro, I can zip it in even with winter gloves. Also, once I set the correct tension with the laces, I dont have to touch the laces again, I can simply put on the boots with the zippers.
Rain protection is also very good, I had a few rains during the 2500+ kilometers I rode this boots in, and my feet always stayed dry. Of course I trwated the boots with impregner. so that might be the case why.
Would I rebuy it again? YES! For the sub EUR 200 price this is a very good deal. I use these boots for walking, I use them in the office, for commuting and on short and long trips as well! Actually these are my main boots, especially for the summer as they are not too hot, like other boots!

This is my first pair of Alpinestars boots and should I be needing more boots in the future I won't hesitate to make AStars my first stop.
I love motorcycling but I dislike the design of a lot of motorcycling gear, boots in particular. It's hard to get the right level of protection and safety without compromising on comfort and off bike usability.
I wanted a boot that would offer decent levels of protection but still allow me to use them off the bike and not look like a stormtrooper or walk like a penguin.
These boots do a pretty good job of that. They're a mid-height boot so don't offer the same protection, as say a pair of Sidi Adventure, but they come up mid shin and should keep your lower extremities out of bother should you drop your bike on yourself.
They also look great and are wonderfully comfortable just to wear and they are very good to walk in too.
The sole is quite stiff so there's a noticeable hard spot on the ball of the boot that doesn't give like a regular shoe or boot, but once aware of that they would make just as good walking boots as riding boots.
The leather is quite supple right out of the box and I can't see these needing a break-in period, they just feel great.
I normally don't like laces on a riding boot but these boots have a second zip up entry point so you can tension the laces to suit your own foot and then tie and forget them. The strap at the top of the boot does a nice job of keeping the ends of the laces away from anything on the bike that might try to snag on the laces, too.
There's a good amount of articulation at the ankle for gear changing and braking - something I find difficult with the heavier style Moto boots which always seem too stiff and clumsy by comparison.
Size wise, I fluctuate between a UK size 10 and 11, depending on brand and sometimes even within the same brand. I opted for a 45.5 euro size as that seems to be about a UK 10.5 and they fit perfectly.
Overall, excellent riding boots that look and function very well as ordinary boots.
