Very nice but not durable. (26.09.2023)

I have this jacket now for 3 years and 40.000km.
I am a rather big bloke 183cm and 133kg. The 10XL fits perfectly.
I love the design and the color of the fabric is aging beautifully.
I’ve used it in temperature's from just above freezing to about 30°C. It’s been great. When it’s cold just put a fleece on, when it’s warm, remove the inner layers.
The jacket is so and so waterproof.
In light rain, for short trips, it is okay. The wax treatment of the outer fabric keeps the water from getting into the fabric. In heavy rain, the outer layer gets soaked and it will take 2-3 days to dry.
That doesn’t mean that I get soaking wet. I am still dry, because the inner lining stops the water from ingress. But the jacket loses some of its insulating capabilities and it becomes very heavy.
As I mentioned earlier, I’ve put some 40.000km on it. It shows. The stitches and the fabric around the pockets is coming apart. There are holes around the corners of the pockets. The cuffs are worn out with holes all around where the gloves meet the jacket.
It is at the end of its life or it needs some serious repair if I am going to have it for one more season.
Is it a good jacket?
Yes indeed. I absolutely love it.
Is it a good quality jacket?
I don’t think so.
3 years and 40.000km is not enough.
Will I buy it again?
Maybe.
If I can’t find a Belstaff that fits me.
Very good for price (02.10.2017)

Reading earlier reviews, I purchased the jacket one size larger.
The quality of the outer shell, could be classed as moderate to good. However as price/performance comparison goes it is really good. Due to the two zip-out layers, ventilation in the shell & the protective armor. Though I would suggest you upgrade the back piece.
On a recent trip to the Australian outback it covered me from +5'c through to +36'c temperatures, on and off road and did well.
