The Oxford Exhaust Heat Wrap Kit is a heat-resistant exhaust wrap for motorcycles, designed to protect components and bodywork from the intense radiated heat of exhaust systems. The wrap is constructed from fibres extruded from pulverised lava rock and is made for use in extreme temperatures. Before installation, the heat wrap should be soaked in water. It is then wrapped around the exhaust pipe with overlap, similar to a racket grip, and secured at the ends using the supplied stainless steel ties. The thermal shielding helps reduce heat transfer from the exhaust system.
