The Vented Jacket is the perfect companion for the really hot days. Large mesh inserts provide optimum ventilation. Should it rain or the wind become too uncomfortable, the separate inner jacket with Humax climate membrane ensures wind and waterproofness. The upper material is made of highly abrasion-resistant Cordura, and on the shoulders and elbows over Superfabric. Stretch inserts at the hips ensure a perfect fit, while 3M Scotchlite applications ensure optimum visibility. The short cut of the jacket makes it a true unisex model and is therefore perfect for bikers.
The built-in airbag system has a protective volume of 17 - 24 litres. These are distributed evenly around the entire upper body and thus protect the neck, spine, chest, pelvis, coccyx, head, collarbone and the internal organs. In addition to the immense impact protection, the airbag stabilises the entire upper body against twisting. The external SAS-TEC back protector of the Turtle technology also ensures that punctual loads cannot penetrate the body.

Activation:
It is activated by a rip cord, which is firmly attached to the vehicle and is plugged into the jacket when climbing on. An unintentional release by forgetting to release the rip cord when getting off the vehicle is very unlikely, as a force of 300Nm is required to activate the airbag.
By replacing the CO2 cartridge the jacket is immediately ready for use again.
In case of a release, the system has the optimal pressure after 80-100 milliseconds to develop the full protective effect. This time span has been determined on the basis of Helite's years of experience and numerous calculations and tests in order to provide the optimum pressure to protect the body at exactly the moment of impact. Important parts of the body are already protected during the release process, when the full pressure has not yet been reached.

Pricing This jacket is priced correctly and most pople who enjoy motorcycling as a sport will be able to afford it.If you compare the airbag funcionality to other options available in the market but consider that in addition you also get a nice looking jacket then it is clear that it offers great value.
Ease of use It is very easy to fix the tether to your motorcycle and to connect the jacket to the tether. Sure, you need to get used to doing it everytime but that comes with any new product.
Safety I have not crashed on it but overall I think it is a fair statement that having an airbag around your torso and stabilizing your head/neck is much better than not having it. Also you get abrasion resistance with the jacket and regardless of the airbag this jacket has integrated elbow, shoulder and back protectors.
Pockets Basic pockets. Maximum a key, wallet and a phone. With that said I rather keep them empty while riding. They are quite small.
Looks of it Personally I like it. It is not an agressive or flash look.
Technology - Mechnical vs Electronic I've been debating for 12 months between AlpineStars tech air 5 and Helite and finally went for Helite version. Look, I'm sure there are cons and pros to each version and you should do your resarch online about each option. What really made it for me was the self replacable compressed air cartridge. Sorry but I'm not happy at all to pay 700EUR to alpine stars then have to send a vest every year for inspection, every 5 years for an overhaul and every crash(even if a simple one) to them. Plus, even here on FC moto website you can see reports of customers who had a false deployment with Techair 5, meaning you will need to waste time debating with Alpinestars who should cover the costs.
Fit I'm 78kg and 175cm high and according to my body measurements size M or L would suit me. I called Helite CS and asked for an advise and was told M should do it. Wrong, I needed to send it back and go for L. If possible for you go to a shop to try it on.
Should be improved - Fit I feel that the jacket is short. My belt is always visible and the jacket does now in any way overlaps with the trousers. Also if I lift my arms immediately my belly becomes exposed. It does not look strange if I'm standing up normally or sitting in thr motorcycle but in my opinion it should be just a tad longer, something like 3-4cm would be the right spot for me.
Overall I recommend this product. The fit should be improved in future versions and more colour options should be made available. I'm very happy but 5 stars for me means it is perfect. Almost no product is perfect.
