Completely love the black matte! What I didn't know is, that there is a built in dark visor inside the helmet that flips downs easily from the outside and they look like cool sunshades. I probably should have gotten a medium, but all my other helmets are large, so that's what I ordered. Let's go with, I lost weight in my head...who knew? So I have to position on my head just right and with the right angle, so the air can still flow through...I made it work. Also not my main helmet for daily riding, I wouldn't feel as safe as I want to feel. Lastly, I appreciate the quick release strap, but I prefer the regular D-ring, loop & snap. The hard plastic sits just so on my throat/neck that I feel like it pushed my throat/neck bones in a little from the pressure, wind speed, etc. because I don't ever remember feeling the possible indentation, also I wasn't looking for it either because it never hurt my throat/neck before. I did have someone look into the safety standards compared to American requirements and they were compatible as of right now. I may look into a helmet with Bluetooth or speakers in it next, to be able to talk to my passenger or fellow riders, if it doesn't break the bank! Finding the best headphones for my helmet has been challenging so they don't pop out while riding and have amazing sound, base and possible noise cancelling when on Hwy/Distance rides. Again, it's a pretty bad ass looking helmet! After safety, I definitely want to look good doing it.
