Looked around for a few weeks at different Merlin Jackets and other brands.
Decided on the Kurkbury because of the jacket length and look.
I ordered both XL and L and settled with the large size. Fit is very good, the jacket is warm and waterproof without being too heavy.
Pockets are quite small and I would have liked a heavier zip. I was a little cautious about the lower brass press studs not being coated and scratching the tank, so I bought a stick on tank protector.
I ride a naked bike so whatever the weather is, it hits me in the chest. In wet weather I have the jacket zipped up and the neck belt fastened. I would have liked the zip to be a bit longer to stop drafts at the neck.
Overall I like so many things about the jacket and the service from FC-Moto was superb

I absolutely LOVE this jacket. The quality is superb.

Habe diese Jacke seit ca. 6 Monaten. Die Jacke ist auch mit herausgenommenen Futter sehr warm und somit im Sommer nur bedingt zu gebrauchen. Abgesehen von den Druckknöpfen ist sie ordentlich verarbeitet. Bereits anlässlich der dritten Nutzung verabschiedete sich der erste Druckknopf. Trotz wochenlangem Schriftverkehr mit FC Moto waren diese nicht in der Lage entsprechende Druckknöpfe als Ersatz zu beschaffen. Optisch gleiche Knöpfe sind auch im Netz nicht erhältlich. Nach ettlichen Mails wurde ich dann mit einen Preisnachlass von 30 Euro abgespeist, was angesichte der Neubeschaffung anderer Druckknöpfe und deren Anbringung in einer Schneiderei eigentlich eine Frechheit ist. Aktuell bin ich bei Druckknopf fünf angelangt - ein Ende ist nicht abzusehen. Der Service bei FC Moto ist ne Katastrophe. Insgesamt würde ich mir die Jacke nicht mehr kaufen :-(

I bought this as Spring/Fall type jacket, which it is.
But with the liner in, it's actually much warmer than my traditional leather jacket.
It does an excellent job of blocking out wind and rain. I have ridden hour plus trips at 45-55F and my trunk is nice and toasty. I had to buy better boots and gloves to keep up.
Love the style, though the shoulders are a little 'goofy wide'. I wear this as a 'barbour' style rain jacket OFF the bike sometimes, and have gotten compliments purely on the looks.

Für klate Tage die perfekte Jacke. Jacke fällt groß aus und der Gürttel ist viel zu lang. Auch bei kurzen Regenschauern wasserdicht. Würde ich mir wieder kaufen. Ein Punkt abzug für den überlangen Gürtel welcher nicht getragen werden kann.

Cool jacket. Good looking, resistent to harsh weather and super comfy to wear.
Just one pretty annoying flaw : the belt is way too long. Wearing the jacket closed, if you tighten the belt to the tighter point, it is still wider than the jacket. I don't think that's how belts are supposed to work... 2 stars down because this is so dumb, and it also impact the jacket's harsh weathers resistance abilities.
