The vest is a good option for over or under your existing kit. If you plan to put it under your current jacket, respect the space needed for the airbags if you ever need them. I brought it as additional safety for my journey around the mountains of northern Italy. It gave me a good feeling, and I felt surer for wearing it. Somewhat pricey, but I think worth it. If I ever have to renew the airbags, I may actually go for the real d’air jacket. 5 stars, despite the following: The instructions could be better and more understandable. The charging time could be shorter - but I like it that you can use a mobile phone power bank to actually charge the device. For my 191cm frame, it could be a tad longer. Plus points: A mail reminder to update the firmware. Went really well if time consuming. Also has a transportation mode, so if it’s packed in your kit bags there is no worries of it setting off mistakenly. Happy I brought it.
Disappointed with bulk and false activation but it works(01.08.2020)

The vest is very bulky. If you think it’s going to fit under your jacket.....it’s not. It is also very heavy. Neither total deal breakers, but not what I was quite expecting, certainly when it comes to bulk. However my biggest disappointment is that it went off today, not because I had an accident, but because I hit a very big bump. Now I’m going to have to spend money to get it fixed. I was riding a Harley softail, and it was a big bump, but big bumps are common. I guess it did what it was meant to, I did momentarily lift off the seat, so I guess the algorithm thought I was crashing, and the activation was instantaneous. So I that regard thumbs up, it works within a blink of an eye. But thumbs down cause it went off when I wasn’t crashing.
