Merlin Hixon II D3O オートバイレザージャケット

My physical dimensions (1,73m and about 86 kg) are between size L and XL, so after some thought, I picket the XL size (No 44), that fits perfectly to me.
My first impressions are:
It’s noticeable heavier than a textile jacket (about 2,5 kilos) and I haven’t yet added the back protector that is supposed to weight another 0,5kilo.
The leather is very soft, feels oily, smells awesome and the jacket is ready for use, with almost no need to be worn ‘’off’’ the bike, in order to get your shape.
The leather of the jacket is ‘’naked’’ leather and in the Merlin’s care guide, it is recommended to be treated as an aniline leather. Aniline leather is a more raw leather, its supposed to be luxurious but more sensitive to stains and scratches. This is not a negative point but I think that future buyers should know this. For me, this is not a problem because I am a leisure motorcyclist and I avoid riding in rain conditions.
Strangely, my hands were painted somehow by the paint of the leather, not a problem either.
Overall, the jacket looks and feels fantastic, its softness is helpful for the riding. Nice job from Merlin
I received it from the shop, in a box, with a hanger and inside a cellophane.
I hope that I will be able to wear it also during summer, here in Greece it gets very hot for long periods.
I hope this review is helpful and maybe I will rewrite after a year of use.

I have had many leather jackets in my life.
But this style and quality puts this jacket on top. I'm so satisfied that I even bought Merlin Alton II D3O
