I bought this jacket as a potential replacement for my Oxford Mondial which is a great jacket but its beginning to wear out. My Mondial is a size large this Hardy is an XL. The sizing seems off, in that the jacket across the chest feels the same or slightly smaller than the Mondial but wider across the shoulders. Its short between the back and front of the neck, making it uncomfortable to close the top fastener. The shoulder pads don't sit on the shoulder they rest on the top of the upper arm. The pockets are to small to carry stuff in particularly the inside one. My biggest gripe for this jacket is that the front zip and overlap do a poor job of keeping the out the wind. That may be a good thing in hotter climates but here in Scotland were even summer temperatures are typically below 20C, it results in a cold chest. The thermal lining doesn't help to alleviate this at all, which means that IMO, this is a summer jacket only and if that's the case it actually doesn't need a thermal lining.

Excellent jacket. I had a previous well know brand that dissolved after 9 months here in the NZ sunshine. This jacket was going well for 2.5 years prior to my accident.
Great fit and performs brilliantly for NZ conditions. This is my second jacket of this type.
