Wilber's progressive fork springs
Friction reduction through fine grinding, resulting in ZERO friction
During vibratory grinding, the fork springs are placed in a vibrating container, the so-called trough vibrator, together with an abrasive specially adapted for this purpose.
The vibrations of the container cause the workpieces and the abrasive to constantly rub against each other, smoothing the surface of the component.
A fine, shiny surface is achieved at the end of the process. Especially with Wilbers fork springs, this reduction in surface roughness means minimized friction = ZERO friction!
It is important to use the specially developed Wilbers fork oil in combination with the correct air chamber for the corresponding vehicle.
The fork of the Suzuki GSX-8S has far too much rebound damping with a second spring rate that is too tight. This is why the Wilbers conversion, like the standard suspension, uses progressive fork springs, but with a slightly softer second spring rate and an adapted, better block value.
Fork oil: SAE 2.5 (1 L)
