I bought this to wear under a summer jacket when it is still too warm for a winter jacket - lightweight, a snug fit and windproof. Adds a warm layer with out being bulky.

Best gear investment I've made in years. This tech layer is truly windproof, but magically allows body moisture to escape so that you're not overheating like a baked potato. I've worn this under my summer mesh jacket (Alpinestars Luc Air) down to 8 degrees C, and it's kept me perfectly warm and comfortable!
If you're considering buying an expensive jacket because it includes a fully finished "destination layer," I'd say that you can now buy any jacket you want and simply add this Alpinestars Tech Layer Top at a very reasonable price, and there you go - Instant fully finished, windproof, breathable, destination layer!
Two reasons I didn't give it a full five star rating. First, the monkey paw is a great idea, but in practice, the seam around the thumb becomes instantly painful when worn under properly fitting gloves. So you have to slip your hands through the larger opening without hooking your thumb through smaller opening, and simply bypass the "monkey paw." Second, the exterior left breast pocket is just ever so slightly too small to accommodate a reasonably sized modern smart phone. Even an older Galaxy S4 won't fit, let alone a newer Galaxy or Note.
Otherwise, I couldn't be happier with the thermal performance of this piece. It does exactly what I wanted it to do!

very good quality, the size is appropriate and very comfortable jacket, the day was somewhat cloudy and the truth is that it did not feel that the wind went through the jacket, I recommend 100%.
