LS2 FF900 Valiant II Revo Kask

Have not worn this particular helmet yet but have had LS2 before. It came in great shpee no dings, ordered one size up based on reviews and that worked for me. Like the sun visor mechanism on the side versus over the top. Been trying to find this helmet in my size and "IN STOCK". Then found it here for a lot less than I had previously seen. Hope it rides as well as it looks, won't have be much better than the fricking Shark helmet.

I found the fitment to be exactly per their instructions and description, meaning I didn't need to order a larger size as others have noted. My head is a medium oval shape.

The 180 mechanism works perfectly, and is easy to convert with one hand while underway. I don't have a problem with remembering to reach for the top of the visor when raising or lowering it. The sunshade also works well with the slide/lever. Being able to fully open the front while while stopped or moving <60kph is a game changer on hot days.

The fit and finish is exceptionally good, with the colors and patterns matching nicely in both configurations. They clearly thought carefully about making it look as good as possible in both configurations.

The foam padding is not particularly close-fitting around my neck and chin, meaning the helmet is noisy. I also have a LS2 Storm, and that helmet is clearly quieter. However, in fairness no helmet should be worn for any period of time without hearing protection, which I have and wear.

The shape of the helmet is ... peculiar, especially when viewed from the front & back. Per Mike Meyers it's somewhat like, "a planetoid on a toothpick". Which is to say that the 180 mechanism makes the bottom of the helmet somewhat bulbous. Think, "Stormtrooper helmet" for the gist of it. My LS2 Storm looks better IMHO.

The included pinlock was easy to install and does a GREAT job managing fog. I did not receive a second, tinted visor as some have reported.

Given the price, I feel the Valiant II is excellent value.

Delivery was both fast and economical.

Bottom line: this is ONE helmet that can comfortably deal with extremes of hot/cold, sunny/dark conditions while looking good. Just don't forget your earplugs if traveling on the highway.
