Good stretchy pants for wide legs and stocky builds. (14.06.2022)

SUMMARY:
This is a good mid-range riding pant, and I am overall pleased with this purchase. These kevlar jeans do have some detractors, which I'll explain below. But the stretchy material really elevates these pants, and I am grateful to have found kevlar jeans that fit my stocky body shape.
I've ridden with these pants for about 500km in 24C temps, no rain. They are warmer pants, so I suggest stop-and-go city riding above 24C will get sweaty.
Overall, I believe this was $200 CAD well spent. I would buy these again. Thank you, FC-Moto!

DETAILS:
As a stocky guy forced to live in a slender-fit world, finding moto pants is a struggle for me. I have bodybuilder thighs of 25" circumference. I am grateful to have found these black stretchy Parados.
I'm 5'10", 31" inseam, stocky muscular build at 208 lbs. I have an "actual" waist size of 40", which translates to retail vanity measurements of a 36" or 38" waist Levi 541 Jean.
I bought the 40" waist of this Parado Jean with the long leg option. This was a good decision. The Parado waist is high and leaves me at least an extra inch of room in girth. The stretchy material accommodates my leg shape well, and the inseam length is good for the extra material needed for my sportbike posture. Perhaps washing will shrink the pant. If not, I will hem 1" off the length and take in the waist by 1".
I give these pants five stars for overall fit and comfort, subtracting one star because of the following:
Detractor 1) As described elsewhere, the knee pad mounting is skewed inwards toward the fuel tank by perhaps 1.0", which is not great. The good news is that the existing strip of vertical velcro does allow you to move the knee pads outward by 0.5". A good seamstress could easily add an additional velcro strip to support further placement of the kneepads.
Detractor 2) The kneepads can only be accessed from inside the pant.
Detractor 3) The elastic band across the center of the bum is weird to me. Yes, riders need that stretchiness, especially those of us on sport bikes. But the placement of this bum elastic creates the faux sensation that the pants are sliding down and displaying my crack, hah! I'm training my brain to ignore this sensation.
Detractor 4) Directly related to the elastic band on the bum: the two butt pockets are positioned 2" lower than regular street jeans. I think it looks weird, but it does reduce the bending force you exert on your phone will seated on your bike.
Good things:
-Stretchiness at the top of the knee and in the crotch is excellent.
-Comfort is very good, the jean material feels substantial and inspires confidence, and the kevlar liner parts do not feel scratchy against the skin.
-The pants do not get clammy in the 22C and colder temps
-The long inseam choice will give you lots of material to work with if you are tall, if you ride a crouched sportbike, etc.
-The knee pad pockets are actually a pocket-in-pocket setup. There is a large pocket sewn to the inside of the leg, and a small cloth pocket with velcro that houses the actual pad itself. This setup is clever, as it allows you to swap either larger or smaller knee pads as you see fit. (I personally swapped the stock pad for a D30 pad).
OVERALL: these are really good riding jeans for the money. Definitely recommended to people with stocky builds like me!
