Discover the new IX-AIRBAG U04 from Ixon, the evolution of the first universal electronic airbag. Six years after the iconic IX-AIRBAG U03, Ixon is launching a new generation of airbags in 2024, inspired by its collaboration with MotoGP riders. The IX-AIRBAG U04 combines protection and comfort on a new level and offers three fall detection modes, making it ideal for use on the road, in racing and on adventures.

Features:

• Airbag with AIRFLOW CHANNEL technology: a unique and advanced ventilation system for maximum body cooling. The airflow is channelled inwards and outwards thanks to 3D mesh channels along the entire back and torso lining inside the airbag.
• The choice of outer materials also favours ventilation: Hard Mesh at the front and back, Ultra Stretch Mesh at the sides. This means that the IX-AIRBAG U04 is 100% ventilated.
• The choice of ultra-lightweight materials for the inside and outside has resulted in the lightest electronic airbag on the market.
• The design has been developed so as not to restrict movement and to offer an excellent riding experience.
• The body-hugging cut avoids the feeling of a bulky layer and, on the contrary, makes you forget about the airbag.

Specifications:

• Protective clothing for motorcyclists class C (EN 17092-6:2020)
• In the event of a fall, the airbag is functional and effective after approx. 0.055 seconds, long before the first impact: 0.033 s detection time + 0.022 s inflation time.
• Inertial measurement system made up of 6 sensors (3 accelerometers and 3 gyroscopes) that measures the movements of a motorcyclist in real time: more than 1,000 analyses are performed every second.
• The inflatable cushion covers 4 protection zones to protect the main areas of the upper body: Neck, back, chest, abdomen.
• Latest generation of inflatable OPW cushions: up to 5 inflations before a factory check, that's 2 more inflations than the IX-AIRBAG U03.
• Deflate: The action of the inflatable cushion has been optimised to provide protection in the event of a fall and an accident, but also to manage the situation after the fall.
• Ride time: 30 hours.
• Charging time of the In&Box electric unit: 2 hours.

In&Motion airbag system:In&box system:

• The In&box is not included in the scope of delivery and is sent separately. For the waistcoat to be fully functional, the In&box must be activated by an In&motion membership

• Road Ride mode is intended for use on roads that are developed for vehicle traffic (i.e. with a suitable road surface).
• Please note: This mode has not been developed for other types of driving on circuits or off-road.
